Yolandè van der Walt is a qualified Professional Accountant (SA), registered with SAIPA. She has more than 11 years of experience in the financial sector; which includes experience in the insurance and manufacturing industry.
Wikus van Rooyen is a qualified Professional Accountant (SA), registered with SAIPA. He has more than 7 years of experience in the financial sector; which includes more than 4 years of experience in the NPO industry.
Hendrik van der Walt is a qualified Associate General Accountant (SA), registered with SAICA. He has more than 10 years of experience in the financial sector, which includes 3 years of experience in the auditing industry.
Marthinus Lindeque is a qualified Professional Accountant (SA), registered with SAIPA. He has more than 55 years of experience in the financial sector; which includes 18 years in the private sector, specialising in Agriculture.
ABOUT US
Ascend Accounting was established in 2017 by Yolandè van der Walt for the main purpose of providing affordable and comprehensive accounting, tax and secretarial services to owners of small- to medium entities.
In 2018 Ascend gained a valuable partner in the NPO industry, Wikus van Rooyen, who is also the COO of Mosaic SA, a non-profit organisation who is implementing South Africa’s first self-sustainable orphan care model.
In 2019 Hendrik van der Walt joined the team, bringing with him years of experience in the audit industry and a thorough knowledge of relevant tax legislation and SARS related matters. He provides valuable contributions in designing and implementing accounting and management systems of Ascend and its clients by applying creative problem solving and effectively using emerging technology.
In 2020 Ascend Accounting expanded its client base by acquiring the business of Lindeque and Kie Accountants in Klerksdorp. Mr Marthinus Lindeque joined Ascend, adding a wealth of experience to the team.
